I had the aspiration, but yet, I was still not where I want to be. Here are the exact steps I took to finally break free from the real setbacks and negativity that was holding me back from reaching my fullest potential…
How many of you felt strongly inside, that you have the potential to do something great.
As most people believe that “life happens to me” and ended up settling for an average life, the fact is, greatness is not exclusive only for a selected few.
It is for anyone – and everyone who believed that success happens when you finally take control of your life.
Three years ago, I was at the verge of losing my ‘sanity’.
No, I wasn’t really going crazy, but I was at a point where I felt like I was going nowhere in life.
My career aspect consumed so much of my time that I was beginning to lose doing the things I really enjoyed.
My full-time job was crucial. For one, it pays the bill.
One day over a weekend lunch, I was telling my friend – a fairly successful tech entrepreneur –about my ‘problems’.
“The thing about your ‘problems’, they are not here to ‘kill’ you. They are where they are supposed to be at your point in life to WAKE YOU up.”
“What do you mean waking me up? I am barely even getting a life.”
“Your problems are not setbacks. They are here for an extremely valuable purpose – to shake you up and pointing to you which parts in your life that you’ll have to start paying attention to.”
His words ring clear in my mind and deep into my soul.
Over the next 30 minutes, my friend changed everything I thought about my life.
He later wrote down a life-changing 7-day ‘plan’ and had me promise I’ll work on it.
This may sound too good to be true but I can attest that your life is not made up by the external, but for the one who has conquered the mind and found strength within to get back up.
My dependency now no longer lies on monthly paychecks.
Taking well over a year to learn and now, a lifestyle entrepreneur of my own, my life has been elevated ever since.
Yes, of course, it’ll take time for you to gradually see results.
But I can assure you, the view is impeccably way better at the ‘top’—so, begin today and never give up.
How It Works?
I am going to give to you the exact steps that I took to transform my life.
Each day of the 7-day life-changing plan, you’ll be given a new task to focus on for the day.
Perform the task of the day as how suggested.
Over the course, you’ll gain clarity into exactly what you want to achieve in every area of your life and determine clearly a plan of how to achieve those goals.
No matter how big or small your goals in life may be; this 7-day course is suitable for anyone at any stage of your condition or life.
Day 1: Think and Imagine
Your imagination takes you to places.
Imagination; it is the most powerful force in the universe.
As said by Albert Einstein:
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
Think, about your life as it is now and write down the things that are most important to you in your life.
Imagine, if you could wave a magic wand and make your life spectacular in each area of your life. What would it be like?
Hold that thought.
At this moment, it doesn’t matter if it seemed impossible regardless of the state of condition you are in.
All you need to do, for day one, is to think and imagine.
Create clear, vivid, exciting and emotional pictures of your goals as if they were already a reality.
Day 2: Put It On Paper
Studies have shown that you become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down.
Using your thoughts from day one, write down each goal you would like to achieve for your ideal life.
Now again, you don’t need to question how you’re going do it.
- Write it down specifically detailed and describe it clearly.
If there’s a certain number to it: e.g. to lose 20 pounds, put that on paper.
- Include a dead line into your written goals.
Clearly, have a realistic deadline to each and every one of your goals. Your deadlines should challenge you, giving you the motivation you’ll need to keep the momentum going.
If you have big goals, set sub-deadlines.
Day 3: Identifying Obstacles
List down any potential obstacles that you will have to overcome to achieve your goals.
The way I see it, obstacles are usually opportunities in disguise.
They are usually disguised as hurdles and road blocks.
They serve as part of an important lesson I have to learn in my life to advance forward to my goals.
Take for example, when I’ve made up my mind that I no longer want to stay stuck in a 9 to 5 job, only to receive paychecks month after month, I know that my biggest obstacle was that I need to derive another source of income that would not only sustain my daily expenses, but also big enough to provide me with a comfortable lifestyle.
That was when I read about making money online.
Given no knowledge of internet marketing prior to begin, I figured that I’ll have to learn and develop such skills to achieve my goal; making money online.
Identify the knowledge or skills that will help you achieve your goals.
Day 4: Make A List Of The Steps Needed To Take
Make a list of everything; each and every step you will have to do to achieve your goal.
Organize it into a plan; each with a series of steps from the beginning all the way through to the completion of your goal.
Don’t worry; as you progress forward, you’re bound to add in additional steps. Don’t worry about perfecting the plan yet.
Day 5: Determine Your Support System
“No man is an island; no man stands alone.”
Simply means, we depend on one another.
Make a list of every person in your life that you will have to work with or work around to achieve your goal.
In my case, I learnt a lot from my friend who shared this exact life changing 7-day plan.
Being a tech entrepreneur and having his own fair share of the ‘cake’ when it comes to making money online, he definitely has his knowledge when it comes to internet marketing.
Day 6: Make Your Goal Public
This could sound a little scary but the way I see it, you are more likely to be motivated when you tell others; especially to closer friends and relatives what goals you intend to achieve.
Via sharing, it provides positive reinforcement.
A little, “hey, good job” or “excellent progress” makes a lot of difference in helping you strive towards bigger and larger goals.
Not only so, it keeps you grounded and reminded on what and why you are doing what you do.
Day 7: Do Your First Task – Taking Action
Now that you got everything planned out, start taking action.
Complete the first task you’ve outlined for yourself and get started on your path to success.
“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”
